Col Austin Akobundu Rtd assures widows of inclusion in his representation
*THE WIDOWS WILL NOT BE NEGLECTED WHEN I AM ELECTED ON FEBRUARY 25TH - COL. AKOBUNDU*
Addressing the leadership body of widows at Afara Ukwu under the aegis of The Cry of the Widows Association, Abia Central Zone, the PDP Abia Central Senatorial District, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd) spoke to the widows in the affirmative that he will not neglect them when he is voted in.
The senatorial candidate said his mother was a widow for so many years before she passed on and he understands the discomforts and distresses of widows.
He also added that for so many years, he has continued to host widows every year in his country home at Oloko, Ikwuano LGA, and promised to extend that show of love across the senatorial district when he is voted in.
Responding, the leader of the women in the senatorial zone, Dame Victoria Asomugha said the women have been praying and waiting on God to send an individual who deeply understands the plight of the widows in the zone. Thankfully, they have found those traits in Col. Austin Akobundu.
The women promised to mobilize themselves and vote him in, as they offered prayers of victory.
