Col Austin Akobundu extols Rev Uche UME on his birthday

*COL AUSTIN AKOBUNDU DESCRIBES REV UCHE UME AS A GREAT MENTOR TO YOUTHS AND A TEACHER OF THE WORD ON THE OCCASION OF HIS BIRTHDAY* 


The PDP Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district in the 2023 elections, Col Austin Akobundu rtd, has described the Lead Pastor of the Power Word Ministries Int'l, Isicourt, Umuahia, Rev Dr. Uche Ume as a capacity builder, mentor and great teacher of the Word whom God is using to mentor the younger generation. 

Akobundu, who was speaking at the Power Word Ministries Int'l Umuahia on Sunday as he unveiled the four books authored by the cleric during the special service to mark his 44th birthday, noted that it takes only the grace of God to actualize the great feat, pointing out that despite his tight schedule, the man of God was able to author such books.

The former Minister of State for Defence also described the Church as an engine room for the creation of new cadre of leaders with the fear of God, assuring that he will continue to partner with the Church.

He therefore solicited for the continued prayers of the Power Word Ministries in order to actualize his Senatorial ambition.

The Dike Ako N'Mba of Ikwuano and Nwadiohanma of Nneise Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South, however, prayed God to continue to bless the Minister of the Gospel whom he described as an example of patience and long suffering. 

Highpoints of the birthday celebration were the cutting of the birthday cake, music performances by music icons as well as the teaching of the Word titled "Giving Honour To Whom It's Due". 

The titles of the four books written by Rev. Ume are:
* Tithing: Right or Wrong
* Walking in the Spirit
* Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth and
* The Secret of Long Life. 

The occasion was attended by many dignitaries including the Director General, Akobundu Campaign Council, Pastor Emeka Inyama, the State Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Comrade Chidiebere Uwagwu Kalu, the Deputy Chairman of Bende Local Government Area, Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro, the Administrative Secretary of Akobundu Campaign Council, Pastor Ekeleme Ikeije.

Other were the Director of Media and Publicly of the Campaign Council, Chief Uche Nwosu, Rev Uche Umeh's wife, Pastor Dr Uche Umeh, clergymen and women from different churches as well as the Coordinator of the Akobundu Campaign Council in Umuahia South, Sir Tony Ezebuiro among other notable personalities.
