COL. AKOBUNDU RECEIVES MASSIVE SUPPORT AS OVER 40 GROUPS ENDORSES HIM FOR SENATE, ABIA CENTRAL

In a carnival-like gathering at St. Michael's Primary School, Ugwunchara, Umuahia North, over 40 groups in the state came together to endorse Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd) as their sole candidate for the Abia Central Senatorial seat. 

The associations/groups which endorsed Col. Akobundu are, but not limited to; Stainless Ladies Association, Ebonyi Development Union, Ndi-Agha Political Movevemnt, Onitcha District Union (ODU), Yoruba United Community, Abueke Development Union, Isuochi Town Union, Ohafia Town Union, Abiriba Community, Igala Community, New Layout Concerned Forum, Ochendo Neighborhood, Forest Youth Movement, Enugu Unions, Ikuku Apostles, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (Umuahia North), Orumba Town Union, Obowo Development Association (ODA)  Umuahia Branch, Nsu Patriotic Union, Ikeduru Patriotic Union, All States Development Union, Mba na Asaa Ideato North, Orlu Patriotic Union, Ohabuike Action Movement, All Northerners Association, Pakistan Movement, Ubani Market Team, Ehime Movement, Okigwe Patriotic Union, United Friends for Akobundu and others too numerous to mention. 

The Grand Civic Reception, with members of the groups numbering in their thousands, also endorsed the PDP Presidential candidate, H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the State PDP Governorship candidate, Sir Okey Ahiwe, the PDP candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, and the PDP candidate for Umuahia Central State Constituency, Pastor Ugochukwu Steve Uchegbu. 

The reception was organized by the Association of All States Residents in Umuahia (Umuahia Central Urban Constituents).
