AKOBUNDU TO OHAFIA CLAN: VOTE FOR ME AND PDP IN 2023
The PDP Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district, Col Austin Akobundu rtd on Saturday honoured the invitation of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor of Abia State, Chief (Barr.) Olugu Kalu Ugba, as Ohafia Improvement Union Incorporated, Umuahia branch held a Grand Civic Reception in his honour as their illustrious son.
Speaking at the event held at Ohafia Hall, 30 Orlu Street, Umuahia, Col. Austin Akobundu(rtd) expressed happiness for being part of the event and appreciated Ohafia people resident in Umuahia for putting the event together for their illustrious son. 
The PDP Abia Central Senatorial hopeful however solicited for the support and votes of Ohafia people resident in Umuahia during the Senatorial election next year, assuring them that he will always carry them along in the scheme of things.
The Grand Civic Reception was witnessed by some eminent personalities in Ohafia Clan including the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, represented by Dr. Eme Uche, the State Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water Resources, Barr. Kingsley Eke Imaga, a retired Permanent Secretary in the State who also served as the Chairman of the occasion, Elder Ochu I. Ochu, among other notable sons and daughters of Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
