WARD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT UNIT OF EVERY POLITICAL PROCESS ~ AKOBUNDU.. 

The PDP candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Col Austin Akobundu (rtd) says the ward level remains the most important aspect of every political process. 

Col Akobundu made the remarks at the Day-1 of the Ward Sensitization Tour for Ibere ward 1, Ibere ward 2, Oboro ward 4, Oboro ward 3, Oboro ward 1 and Oboro ward 2, respectively organized by the State PDP Working Committee led by Dr. Asiforo Okere, appreciated the people of the areas for their supports to the Peoples Democratic Party. 

The immediate past National Organizing Secretary of the PDP noted that as an experienced party man and lover of the party that he recognizes the importance of the party at the ward level assuring that no ward will be left behind in all his programs if elected Senator for Abia Central Senatorial District come 2023.

While appreciating the leaders of the party in the various wards for the able way they are running the affairs of the party in the areas, the PDP Abia Central Senatorial candidate further urged the party faithful to remain resolute in their supports for him and other PDP candidates adding that he will run an open door policy trust, be accountable and partner the youths especially in the area of capacity building. 

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Alwell Asiforo Okere who spoke through the Abia Central Zonal Chairman of the PDP, Chief Chukwudi Ezebuiro explained that the exercise was designed to take place in all the 184 INEC wards in the State and expressed joy with the turn out of the party members in the areas which according is an indication that the party remains intact in Ikwuano. 

The State PDP Chairman further noted that the party has elected credible candidates to fly its flags in different elective positions in 2023 general election while urging them to vote massively for all the PDP candidate. 

In their separate contributions, the Speaker, State House of Assembly and PDP candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji represented by Hon. Wisdom Ogbonna, the member representing Ikwuano State Constituency who is also the PDP candidate for Ikwuano State Constituency, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi, the Executive Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Chief Stephen Mpamugo and PDP Chairman, Ikwuano Local Government Area, Deacon Obioma Igwe, all appreciated the party members in the areas for their steadfastness and supports for the party.
